At Lady Dunn Health Centre (LDHC), we are committed to improving access to our facilities, services and care for patients, their families and visitors.  Ensuring we provide excellent service to people with disabilities is a priority for the hospital.

In 2005, the Government of Ontario passed the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005.  Its goal is to make Ontario accessible by 2025.  As part of this Act, accessibility standards are being created.  These standards are rules that businesses and organizations in Ontario need to follow to identify, remove and prevent barriers for people with disabilities.  Effective January 1, 2010, LDHC was required to comply with the Accessibility Standards for Customer Service.  All existing employees, new hires and volunteers receive training on providing care and services to individuals with disabilities.
